Ubiquitous Magazine is currently looking for advertising representatives, illustrator, web designer, writers and photographers.

Advertising Representative – if you are a self-motivated individual, who has excellent sales skills, can generate leads and close the deal this position could be for you. You would be responsible to sell advertising for our magazine; hence, you need to have strong verbal and written skills and be an upbeat team player. We need you to be passionate about this project and see clearly the purpose of Ubiquitous.  It would be ideal if you have a connection to the military lifestyle, as you need to know who military families are, what services we use, where we shop and what we purchase.

Web Designer - To assist in the maintenance, optimization and creation of content and graphics for the magazine’s web site. The applicant will have a degree in an arts/design-related field and/or demonstrated expertise in online media design and production, including:

• Minimum of a related three-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated strength in HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
• Strong skills in Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Flash
• Knowledge of web site design practices and standards
• Experience with web analytics packages, including Google Analytics is considered an asset.
• Understanding of motion graphics and animation to enhance site design
• Creative, analytical team player
• Eye for detail

Live URLs, or a portfolio of web and digital design projects is required to apply for this position.

Illustrator – We are currently looking for an illustrator to create original illustrations and/or graphics for our national military family magazine. It would be and asset if you had knowledge of/or connection to the military lifestyle. You need to have the ability to work within tight deadlines, research article themes and create illustrations based upon them. We need you to create images and designs by using the traditional hand skills of drawing and painting, alongside other techniques, to meet design briefs. You would provide roughs to Art Director for approval and you need a strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop CS3.
