Meet the TeamCyndi MillsEditor in Chief
She stumbled into the world of journalism by accident – looking for a career that could give her the flexibility to work from home to be with their children and support Scott’s military career. As an avid reader of magazines, the experience of living the military lifestyle, and a background in journalism, Cyndi saw an opportunity to create a magazine devoted to military families. Her current home office staff includes her door greeter, Annabelle, an Old English Sheepdog puppy and her two feline assistants Fred and Chris who are a little unhappy with their current working conditions, as they are still adjusting to life with a bossy puppy. Lisa TwomeyArt Director
Lisa is the proud mother of two young daughters, and is an active supporter of the military community. She is a founding director of the Fallen Heroes Memorial Fund, a newly established charity where funds are raised for memorial works for the families of Canadian soldiers killed while serving in the CF. Teresa GambleWebmaster
With each of their four children born in different provinces and countries, the Gamble family have lived the military lifestyle first hand. Teresa is a “Base Brat”, whose family stretches coast to coast with her father in BC, mother and brother in Ontario, sister and brother-in-law in New Brunswick all serving or former military members. Their eldest son is a Reservist, and one son following along as part of the Cadet Corps. Teresa feels that every part of our lives is touched by the military, where our military community becomes our family. She is proud to be a part of the Ubiquitous team of military connected professionals and looks forward to sharing our experiences with everyone.

Patrick TwomeyWriter
Born in the northern BC town of Terrace, and raised in Winnipeg MB, Patrick joined the military as a lineman in the Communications Reserves in 1992, and transferred to the Regular Force in 1996. Career highlights include two tours in Bosnia, and one in Afghanistan, and postings to Petawawa, Winnipeg, and Shilo. Married in 1997 to his lovely wife Lisa, they have raised two gorgeous daughters in the chaotic military life. Family highlights include being absent for the birth of both girls on separate Bosnia tours, and being posted three times within four years. Patrick is continually amazed (and relieved) that his family puts up with the challenges of the military lifestyle.

Christine BrownIn Your Community Coordinator
From “Base Brat” to “Military Spouse”, Christine Brown is no stranger to the joys and challenges of the military lifestyle. Born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, she was the daughter of a Royal Canadian Air Force firefighter. When Christine left home she also said good-bye to her life in PMQ’s and struck out on her own for quite a number of years. In 1995 Christine again found her way back to the military fold when she met and married the love of her life, Dwight Brown. They met in Chilliwack where Christine began her journey as a military spouse. In a very short timeframe the Browns were posted to Cold Lake to Calgary to Greenwood and finally in 2001 to Petawawa. Dwight did an IR for a year in Ottawa and Christine stayed behind to continue working as an office administrator in Petawawa. Christine has two grown children, who reside in Victoria, BC and two stepchildren who have both followed in their father’s footsteps by joining the military. His daughter is currently serving in Borden and his son is in Bagotville. Christine thrives on adventure, so when approached with becoming a part of the Ubiquitous family she responded with an unequivocal “Yes!”
